Covid-19 Update

In keeping with the Provincial recommendations updated on March 20th, the Village of Sedley will closing all recreational facilities including playgrounds until further notice effective immediately.   At this time, we’d also like to suggest we physically distance ourselves instead of social distance.  The current number of people in your home is the right number of people to be around. It is important to remain social. Use today’s technology to reach out to your neighbour; FaceTime with your family and friends. With the weather warming you can enjoy a drink together from one yard to the next – you on your deck, them on theirs.   This is also not a good time to sell items on FaceBook marketplaces or Kijiji…wait until this is over.   And a reminder, we are all in this together. Covid-19 Update

The Village Office is closed to the public effective immediately. If you want to drop off payments, please drop in the mail slot to the right of the door. If you wish to speak to me about anything, please call 306-885-2133 or e-mail administrator@villageofsedley.com.   Council meetings are open to the public, however, non-essential delegations are asked to stay away. If you have an issue you wish to present to council, consider submitting by mail or e-mail; council will discuss and respond. If it’s urgent you speak with council, please call the office and arrangements to attend the meeting via conference call can be made.   The Post Office will remain open. Extra sanitizing methods have been implemented. The mail boxes will be sprayed with bleach on a daily basis as will the entry and exit handles. The Post Office will sanitize all equipment and surfaces touched by the public after each contact.   Sedley Rink has closed for the season effective today.   All programming and meetings at Sedley Branch Library are suspended until further notice. No inter-branch materials will be sent or received. The library will remain open this week (March 16 – 20), but re-evaluated on Friday, March 20th.   Stay healthy...
