Playground Update

The Village is moving the Optimist Playground to the Spray Park location as soon as construction begins for the new Daycare. 

Any playground equipment that is up to safety requirements will be moved to the spray park location.  Some of the structures at the Optimist park are well past their life cycle and are now a safety and liability concern but the safe equipment will be moved.

The Village will also be purchasing a new play structure for the spray park location.  Funds have already been allocated and collected and the new play structure will be ordered in the early New Year.  Picnic tables, a bench and lights are also being installed next spring/summer at the spray park location.  Cement pads have already been poured and tables and lights purchased.

The Village looks forward to providing a safer playground with access to washrooms and picnic tables etc.  Dec. 2023
